Since 1938, Merrill Furniture has been selling quality furniture and bedding to
customers from all over the state of Maine. The family owned business began as
a gas station and freight concession on Franklin Street in Ellsworth, a halfway
stop on the freight routes. One day a concession delivery of furniture arrived
and Merrill Furniture was born.
Merrill Furniture's newly renovated store in Ellsworth is the largest furniture
store Downeast; our staff of 16 employees are experienced in every phase of the
furniture business from sales to delivery to installation. Visitors to the store
will be greeted with courtesy by our knowledgeable sales staff and will never
feel pressured.
